    This ultra-chic hat takes its' style from the famously high hairstyles of the 1960s and '70s. Bee Hive hats, like the Bouffant "Updo", were always high, usually rounded and sometimes puffy. Although our hair-less mannequin head doesn't do this style justice, we trust in your imagination to see its true fabulous potential.
    DESIGN:
    this
    hat's most captivating feature is the material. It is woven with 1" wide, closely ruched, very fine, straw ribbon. The all-over braided effect has great textural and dimensional interest. Designed for "Diana Exclusives," it was made to
    perch on
    top
    of the head rather than fit around it (see photos). With an interior circumference of just 20", only a very small head could wear it over the brow.
    The color is a very pretty Marine Blue: just a shade or so lighter than Navy Blue -Google it to see the difference. Along the rim, at the very back, a 7" wide, two-l
    ayer, grosgrain ribbon bow adds a kicky finishing touch.
    CONDITION & MORE:
    This hat is in very good condition. There are only a few sections of ribbon where the fine straw threads are slightly separated. Few and far between, they're truly not noticeable except under scrutiny -magnified photos are provided. It has maintained its shape well, but should be stored on a hat mold (the right size glass vase or bowl turned upside down will work just as well) or stuffed with paper. You can max the height at nearly 7" or make the silhouette wider and flatter for a different look. In either case, the trick is to wet the hat thoroughly and then dry it in the shape desired (using a mold, bowl or vase as referenced above). Just be sure the ribbon dries flat. This hat is spotless inside and out and there is no fading, discoloration or repairs. Both the "Diana Exclusives" and the USA Union Made tags are securely attached to the inside grosgrain ribbon sweatband. The hat is also fully lined with netting. V
    ery clean and completely odor free.
