This beam tripper is great for capturing moving objects in action.
The DaleBeam photo tripper uses an infrared beam or sound to fire a flash or camera. I used this device with manual film systems to capture birds flying, insects jumping, chameleon tongue flicking, etc. (see sample photos). The light mode produces an invisible infrared light beam which bounces off a reflector at a distance away. When the beam is broken it fires the strobe or camera. Auto reset takes place after it fires. I never used the sound tripping option so I’ve never tested this feature.
You can adjust the beam size to allow small objects to trip the photo. A three-inch reflector allows a range of 25 feet (with options to extend the range). There is a mechanism for easily aligning the beam.
Note: Any camera or motor drive that accepts an electronic (not mechanical) remote cord can be used with the DaleBeam. I used a Nikon motor drive that accepted an electronic remote cord.

Conditions
The item is used but in good condition. Worked well when put in storage many years ago. Tested the following before listing on ebay….
1. Instrument charged up and all operation buttons worked as expected and engaged the proper functions. I’m not sure it charged to full capacity or not - the NiCad batteries have never been changed. You can easily change the batteries.
2. I did test the infrared beam to trip a flash.  I no longer have a camera to test the tripping function for a camera.
3. No other functions were checked.
4. Some minor wear marks on external unit body. Missing foot on bottom has been replaced.

We only ship to the confirmed address you enter at check-out for security reasons. When possible, we use USPS and delivery tracking. From this you can predict when to be there for the package delivery. You are responsible to be available for the receipt of the item. We are not responsible for USPS policies related to final delivery.

We used this item professionally up to the time we retired our film equipment for digital.
Most items are packed to protect against moisture. Adequate cushioning is also included.
We only use PayPal for mutual protection.
We archive many closeup photos of the item(s) sent.
To reduce chance of damage, I only do minor cleanings of lenses before shipping.
