This is a German Metabo brand tool, NOT Metabo HPT or Hitachi that you see on the shelves at Lowes.  Metabo tools and batteries are NOT interchangeable with Metabo HPT or Hitachi tools and batteries.
This is a saw designed to cut metal.  Comes with Metabo's specialty metal cutting saw blade.  It will also cut wood just fine.  Comes with a Diablo wood cutting blade installed.  All metal heavy duty base plate.  Has rip guide and attachable rail guide to be used on any track saw guide compatible with Festool or Makita tracks (obviously works best on Metabo tracks!).
To my knowledge, this is the ONLY metal cutting saw on the market that can be used with track saw guide rails.  Includes heavy duty guard with chip catcher and does a surprisingly good job at catching metal chips.  This is a high quality saw that sells for 9 as a bare tool on Amazon.
Does not include battery or charger.  I buy lots of Metabo tools in bulk.  Most of them I use daily as a contractor; this one was a duplicate.  Comes in original box, although the box has sat on the shelf in my garage for a year.  The saw was used to make a few test cuts, but shows virtually no sign of use.  The only hint that its been used is the markings on the blades.  While I have tested this saw and guarentee it to work great, I am not a Metabo dealer and offer no warranty of any kind.
